Your Cat is considered a Senior Cat when they reach the age 7-10 years old. Anything beyond that age is called Geriatric. Senior/Geriatric Cats are very sensitive to stress and Felisha's Feline Spa needs to make the groom as comfortable and stress free as possible. We slowly introduce bathing and grooming as much of our Senior or Geriatric Cat clients have never been professionally groomed. Putting your Cat on a preventative schedule helps with grease and dander build up and matting from occurring. Helps keep long nails short, behinds clean and your Senior/Geriatric Cat healthy and comfortable for years to come. We put these policies in place for your Cats safety and our safety. We are Pet Tech/First Aide Certified.
- Up to date on all required vaccinations that are age and health appropriate by a licensed Vet.
- Must have a recent Vet visit/Wellness Exam completed within the last 12 months so they are healthy enough to safely groom.
- We will only shave a matted or pelted Cat ONE TIME. After that we will need to see your Cat on a regular bath and brush schedule of every 6 to 8 weeks. This is for the health and care of your Cat. NO EXCEPTIONS!
- If you fail to be on a regular grooming schedule within the recommended time listed, we will deny any further appointments scheduled.
- We will NOT groom any Aggressive Cats as it is a high risk/high stress situation for us and your Cat.
- We will not shave or do any clipper work on an extremely thin and boney Cat. due to injury risk
- If your Cat is under any stress during the grooming process we will stop the groom immediately and you will be notified.
- If we are unable to complete the groom, in any circumstance, you will be liable to pay for the full amount of the groom you were scheduled for at pick up.
- Your Cats comfort/safety is number one in our salon and what you book for may or may not be able to happen. It depends on Cats health, age, weight and temperament.
- Your Cat may be at the age of a "Comfort Groom" which is no longer about beauty but what will keep your Cat comfy and healthy. ALL haircuts may or may not turn out perfectly.
- We ask that medically fragile Cats or Cats with severe health conditions be cleared safe to groom by a licensed Vet before grooming appointment.
- We must schedule your Cat first appointment of our day or last appointment of our day, NO WEEKEND APPOINTMENTS!!! As weekend appointments are our busiest of days. We want the salon to be calm and quiet. Less Stress.
- Felisha's Feline Spa will not be held liable for any injury, or sudden death. On occasion grooming can aggravate a current, or expose a preexisting medical condition. If such medical conditions arise during or after the grooming Felisha's Feline Spa will not be held liable.
- We ask that you pick up immediately after being notified that your Cat is completed, due to older age we want your kitty safe and home in your arms as quickly as possible.
